Testing out DA's new submission page...

Interesting.
Anyway...
This was a photomanipulation done for my senior project last semester (one of many). It was a big favorite among my peers, instructors, and family members, so it's the first I'm sharing on this site. I will not show all of them here - just a select few.
The description I gave this piece in my portfolio was as follows:
"Do you ever wish you could go back in time and tell yourself that everything will be alright?
I do. Every day. And with the power of art, I can make the unreal come to life to an extent - which is why I love it so much.
This week, I begin the visual journey to where I am today by taking a look back at the very beginning. The infant is me, and so is the lady in uniform. Almost a 23-year gap between the two photos which have been brought together in a time-warped corridor to give the impression that this sort of meeting is possible.
Photomanipulation can be so much more than just photo adjustment. It can breathe life into new, yet believable worlds, and that's one thing I hope to accomplish in this series along with personifying my inward views of the past.
There was innocence, uncertainty, curiosity, and most other aspects typical of a young kid. Totally unprepared to face the challenges life had in store for her."If you'd like to read more about the project and see other pieces, please visit
